Welcome to the Island of Zakynthos

The "Fiore di Levante", Zakynthos, intellectual and classy look as it has been cut off from the rest of the world, living with the glorious past. Zakynthos is an island of stunning scenery. It's a great choice if you want to visit the other Ionian Islands and/or the mainland.

The island is located in the base of the Eptanese or Ionian Islands. Flowers decorate doors and windows and tradition is kept alive. Wonderful beaches are found in the gulf of Keri, Lagana, Porto Roma, Argassi, Alikana, Alikes, Banana, Mavratzi, Kalamaki, Tsilivi and in Vasiliko. Restaurants, taverns and discos can be found in the city and in many other places.

The island is a land of contrasts; the eastern side flat with sandy shores, and the western part mountainous with rocky coasts. The western side is much photographed with it's dramatic cliffs which plunge to the sea, the secluded beaches in the coves, and the aquamarine grottos in the caves at Keri.
